The "Middle East Eye" website reported that "there are Turkish-Israeli talks to establish a non-conflict line in Syria, aiming to avoid clashes between the two countries' forces."
Western sources also indicated that the talks came after Israeli airstrikes targeted military sites in Syria where Turkey was planning to deploy.
The airstrikes included Hama airbase and the "T4" base in Homs countryside, in addition to Israeli strikes in Daraa countryside that resulted in the deaths of 9 civilians, amid escalating tensions in southern Syria.
