Massive fires consume 10,000 hectares of forests and cause injuries in southern France

in critical condition due to severe burns, according to local authorities.

The authorities of the "Aude" department revealed that the flames ignited in the Corbières mountain range and spread unprecedentedly due to winds and heat, consuming about 10,000 hectares of forests and homes within a few hours, leaving widespread destruction.

This comes amid warnings of the fire approaching the A9 highway, which is one of the main routes along the Mediterranean coast connecting France to Spain, prompting them to take urgent measures to secure traffic and prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring areas.
