Syria.. 5 internet service providers and 20 licenses expected within two weeks.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Hussein Al-Masri, stated that "the company has licensed 5 internet service providers, and it is planned to grant licenses to another 20 companies within two weeks," according to "SANA."

Al-Masri added that "the Syrian people deserve maximum efforts to improve the quality of services and elevate their global ranking, contrary to the policies of the previous regime that neglected the citizens' needs."

"The upcoming phase will witness genuine cooperation between the public and private sectors, focusing on the quality and affordability of services to align with the citizens' income," according to the minister.

Al-Masri concluded by saying, "We are working on attracting private sector investments by creating a regulatory and legislative environment that is conducive to providing high-quality internet services at reasonable prices, easing the financial burden on citizens, and improving their standard of living."
