Libya .. Al-Menfi discusses with the UN envoy efforts for political calm and security in Tripoli

The President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, held a broad meeting today, Wednesday, with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Libya, Janne Titiyeh, to discuss the latest developments in the security and military situation in the capital, Tripoli, and the challenges facing the path of calm and political settlement.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury.
The UN envoy praised Al-Menfi's role during the meeting in advancing the national dialogue, emphasizing his continuous commitment to bringing the Libyan parties to the negotiating table, which enhances the chances of reaching a comprehensive peaceful settlement. She also affirmed the UN's support for efforts aimed at establishing security and stability, and finding a joint leadership capable of achieving the necessary national entitlements and succeeding in the political process.
