Lebanon Denies Entry of Armed Groups into Its Territories and Withdrawal of Its Army from Border Areas in Bekaa

The Lebanese Army Command denied what is being circulated on some social media sites regarding the entry of armed groups into Lebanese territories and the withdrawal of army units from border areas in Bekaa, confirming that these allegations are baseless.
The Army Command, in a statement issued by the Directorate of Guidance, explained that the military units continue to carry out their routine tasks in securing the Lebanese-Syrian borders, in addition to monitoring the internal security situation to maintain stability and prevent any threat to public security.
The Command urged precision in circulating news related to the military institution and the security situation, warning against spreading rumors that could cause concern and tension among citizens.
