Lebanese President: Restricting weapons to the state and building institutions is in the interest of all Lebanese

The President of the Lebanese Republic, Joseph Aoun, confirmed that building the state is a choice that serves all Lebanese and does not target any group, emphasizing that the main problem in the country lies in corruption and the absence of accountability.
In statements made to his visitors today, Thursday, Aoun clarified that the current government is moving forward with the decision to restrict weapons to the state, considering that this path aims to exit from the "phase of adventures and destruction".
He pointed out that previous governments mismanaged the country's resources, while the current government seeks to rebuild trust through combating corruption, implementing economic reforms, restructuring the banking sector, in addition to working on a law to bridge the financial gap to address the issue of depositors' funds and ways to return them.
The Lebanese president concluded by affirming that the current economic indicators are "encouraging," which enhances hope for restoring stability and reviving the national economy.
