Lebanese President: Hezbollah must accept the concept of the state.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun affirmed that "Hezbollah" is obligated to adhere to the concept of the state, stating: "Hezbollah has the right to participate politically, but the state holds the weapons," in an interview with a local Egyptian TV channel on Sunday, May 18th.
Aoun also clarified that Lebanon has requested "indirect negotiations with Israel under American sponsorship regarding land borders similar to maritime borders," noting that "I have not received a request for direct negotiations with Israel."
He pointed out that the United States alone is capable of pressuring Israel, considering Washington's intentions as "positive."
The Lebanese President also addressed the issue of Palestinian refugee camps, confirming that Lebanon "will take escalating measures against anyone who manipulates the Lebanese arena," awaiting the visit of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the issue of the camps' weapons.
Aoun also revealed his intention to discuss with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi "supporting the Lebanese army with engineering equipment to deal with explosives and tunnels," as part of enhancing the army's capabilities in facing security challenges.
