Marwan Abdullah, Head of Foreign Relations at the Lebanese Kataeb Party, stated: "Lebanon will not back down from its decision to ban Iranian planes from landing at Beirut Airport."
Abdullah further stated that "Hezbollah will not impose its will on the state," according to Al Hadath news channel.
Iran's Civil Aviation Organization President, Hussein Pourfarzaneh, announced that "all flights to Lebanon have been canceled until at least the 18th of this month."
The announcement came after Lebanese authorities requested Tehran to suspend flights to Beirut Airport until February 18.
The Lebanese authorities made the request due to "special security circumstances" that led to the decision to cancel all international flights, as they expressed.
