The Syrian Arab Republic Presidency is preparing to announce the 'New State Identity' this evening, Thursday, in an official event held in the Unknown Soldier Square in the capital Damascus, at 9:00 PM, in the presence of President Ahmed Al-Shar'a.

The new identity, as announced, includes modifying the national emblem of the state and making changes to the sovereign visual symbols, with the aim of reflecting a visual identity that suits the current stage.

The main launch event in Damascus will be accompanied by activities and celebrations in several squares in the capital and in other provinces, within a celebratory atmosphere announced by the organizing authorities.
Earlier today, citizens received text messages from local telecommunications companies containing a link to the 'New Visual Identity' website, inviting them to follow the expected announcement in the evening.

It is expected that the announcement will be followed by practical steps, most notably the replacement of personal documents, including the 'National ID Card', and later the Syrian passports, to align with the new identity.
