Latakia: Control of Most Fires in Kessab.. The Governor Confirms the Crossing is Operating Normally

Firefighting and civil defense teams have managed to control most of the fire hotspots that broke out in the Kessab area, according to what Latakia Governor Mohammad Othman announced today.
Othman confirmed in a statement to "SANA" from Kessab that "monitoring and cooling operations are currently underway," pointing out that "the overall situation is good and under control."
The governor noted that the reinforcement of firefighting teams with support from several neighboring governorates has significantly contributed to improving the fire situation compared to what it was before.
Othman also expressed hope that "the teams will be able to fully control the fires soon, thanks to the joint efforts and ongoing coordination among all concerned parties."
On another note, Othman denied any closure of the Kessab crossing, clarifying that "the crossing is operating normally and witnessing regular traffic."
