Large quantities of weapons and explosives were seized in the countryside of Homs.

Security units affiliated with the Homs Security Directorate have managed to seize large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, including TNT, that were intended for smuggling out of the country.
This operation followed advanced stages of monitoring and precise tracking, as part of the Interior Ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability in Syria, and prevent any threats from crossing into neighboring countries.
Security sources revealed the discovery of a secret warehouse in the countryside of Homs, containing light and medium weapons, as well as various ammunition, which was being used as a supply source for unlawful groups aiming to destabilize the region.
Additional hidden weapons were found in a tightly concealed manner in villages and towns in western rural Homs, and were confiscated in accordance with legal procedures.
The Homs Security Directorate confirmed that this operation is part of the Interior Ministry's comprehensive strategy to enhance border control and combat smuggling operations, in support of national security and the stability of border areas with Lebanon.
