President of the Kurdistan Region Government: "We believe that the federal system is the most suitable solution for Syria."

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, stated today during his attendance at the Sulaimani Forum: "We believe that the federal system is the most suitable solution for Syria, providing a unified framework that allows for ethnic diversity, respects the specificities of each component, and avoids wars and divisions."

Barzani called on the Kurdish factions in Syria to "unite and benefit from the experience of the Kurdistan Region, whether successes or mistakes, in building a stable political entity." He added: "We urge to overcome narrow differences and focus on dialogue to ensure a safe and stable future for the Kurds and all components of Syria."

It is worth mentioning that the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, met with the Syrian President, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, on the sidelines of the "Antalya Diplomatic Forum" on the 11th of this month. Both parties emphasized the importance of cooperation in combating the Islamic State organization and the necessity of achieving peace in Syria through fair political solutions that guarantee the rights of all components, especially the Kurds.
