The Syrian Ministry of Health received on Saturday 25,000 doses of quadrivalent meningitis vaccine designated for pilgrims, provided by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, to vaccinate pilgrims through the Nasib border crossing. The Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Zuhair Al-Qarad, explained that this step comes in a humanitarian and brotherly context reflecting the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries. Al-Qarad emphasized the Ministry of Health's full commitment to providing necessary services and care for pilgrims, ensuring the optimal delivery and distribution of vaccines within health standards, expressing gratitude to the King Salman Center and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their continuous support to the Ministry of Health. Assistant Director of Supplies at the Ministry of Health, Engineer Yaman Maalim, stressed the importance of these vaccines in enhancing health relations through exchanging experiences, pharmaceutical support, and vaccines, contributing to building a common ground for cooperation in broader areas, benefiting both sisterly peoples. Engineer Maalim explained that the shipment of vaccines comes within the framework of the Kingdom's support for the health sector in Syria during the past period, providing various aids and supplies, in addition to sending medical delegations to perform specialized operations. On his part, the Supply Officer at the Ministry of Health, Mohammed Al-Harh, emphasized the importance of these vaccines in preserving the health of pilgrims from meningitis, noting that the vaccines are approved by the World Health Organization and will be distributed to pilgrims in all provinces according to schedules through the Health Care Directorate at the Ministry of Health.
