The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed today, Tuesday, the ceasefire in Sweida Governorate, southern Syria, affirming its support for the Syrian state in maintaining its sovereignty.
The Jordanian news agency "Petra" reported that the ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, emphasized the necessity of calming the situation, exercising restraint to ensure stopping the shedding of Syrian blood, protecting civilians, enforcing the law, and asserting the Syrian state's sovereignty over all its territories.
Al-Qudah also affirmed Jordan's support for the Syrian government in efforts to rebuild Syria on foundations that guarantee its security, stability, unity, and sovereignty, preserving the safety, rights, and security of all Syrians.
