Jordanian Foreign Minister stresses the need to support Syria in reconstruction and lifting sanctions.

Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, emphasized the importance of supporting the Syrian government in its efforts to rebuild the country and improve the humanitarian situation, calling for lifting the sanctions imposed on it to enable the Syrian people to overcome current challenges.
This came during his meeting yesterday, Tuesday, April 22, with a delegation from the French Senate, including Vice President of the Senate, Luke Auvity, Chairman of the Middle East Communication Committee, Etienne Blanc, and Chairman of the Jordanian-French Friendship Committee, Cyril Pellevat.
The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) quoted Safadi as saying: "The Syrian government must be supported in its efforts for reconstruction and improving conditions in the country," stressing that lifting the sanctions will contribute to the recovery of the Syrian people after years of crises.
The Jordanian Minister also addressed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a permanent ceasefire and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the sector, which is suffering from the ongoing Israeli aggression.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance Jordanian-French relations and the role of the international community in achieving stability in the region.
