The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the ongoing incitement campaigns against Jordan, due to its steadfast humanitarian role in providing support and assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
This came in light of a series of attacks targeting the premises of Jordanian embassies and diplomatic missions in several countries around the world.
The official spokesperson for the ministry, Sufyan Al-Qudah, confirmed that Jordan's historical positions in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights, in addition to its diligent efforts to end the aggression on Gaza and alleviate the humanitarian disaster suffered by the residents of the strip, will not be affected by the systematic smear campaigns and those behind them, according to the Jordanian news agency "Petra".
Al-Qudah indicated that the ministry has contacted the foreign ministries of the countries where these attacks occurred, in addition to the ambassadors of those countries accredited to Jordan, demanding that all necessary measures be taken to ensure the full protection of Jordanian missions and their staff, in implementation of those countries' commitments under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
He also confirmed that the ministry is following up on these incidents with the relevant authorities to ensure accountability for the perpetrators and to prevent their recurrence, in order to safeguard the safety of the missions and their staff.
