Ja'ja': "It is too early to judge Ahmed al-Shara's transitional government project in Syria."

The leader of the "Lebanese Forces" party, Samir Geagea, stated that "it is too early to judge the transitional government project of Ahmad al-Shar'a in Syria," pointing out that "the field situation is still unstable and lacks clarity in implementation."

In an interview with the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Nahar," Geagea considered that "the prospects for a positive relationship between Syria and Lebanon exist," noting that "the statements of the Syrian President, Ahmad al-Shar'a, are good."

Geagea explained that "Ahmad al-Shar'a's statements are good, but how will the implementation be on the ground? We have to wait and see," clarifying that "the current circumstances in Syria do not allow for definitive judgments, and we cannot rely on the current stage because the situation still suffers from significant chaos on the ground."

Geagea pointed out that "the parties that carried out attacks near the Lebanese borders in recent weeks are not from Jabhat al-Nusra or Ahrar al-Sham, but from scattered militias," adding that "what happened on the coast was also the work of militias, as Syria now has militias from all sides."

The Lebanese politician emphasized that "we must give things some time to take their course, so that we can see clearly whether Ahmad al-Shar'a means what he says, or if his statements are just marketing talk."

Regarding the possibility of building friendly and natural relations between Lebanon and Syria, Geagea believed that the opportunity exists, but it is conditional on internal variables in both countries, explaining that "the opportunity depends on what the situation in Syria will lead to, but also, from the Lebanese side, there must be effective and serious authority."

Geagea mentioned that "the situation inside Syria is still unstable until now."
