Its value is 4.5 million euros.. Italy agrees to an urgent aid package for Syria.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release on its website, "As part of the humanitarian aid announced by Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio during his visit to Damascus on January 10th, 4.5 million euros have been allocated for urgent relief initiatives."
The ministry indicated that "this aid will be directed to the most urgent and priority areas in Syria, with the aim of supporting humanitarian activities in the health sector and hospitals, improving vital infrastructure including health, water, food supply chains, and supporting the most vulnerable populations."
The ministry also noted that "this initiative follows an initial humanitarian shipment of medicines and medical supplies that departed from the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot in Brindisi, Italy, at the end of January, which included medicines and medical supplies currently being distributed."
