The Syrian Postal Authority announced the launch of a new commemorative postage stamp in celebration of the opening of the sixty-second session of the Damascus International Fair, marking the first issuance after the liberation phase, carrying national and historical symbolism that reflects the renewed spirit of Syria.

Visual Symbolism Expressing National Renaissance

The new stamp embodies the features of the Syrian visual identity and highlights the achievements made during the reconstruction phase. This issuance comes to express the journey of revival led by state institutions in collaboration with the citizens, within the framework of a comprehensive national vision towards the future.

Ongoing Documentation Tradition

The authority affirms that the issuance of commemorative stamps coinciding with the Damascus International Fair is a long-standing tradition for decades, aimed at documenting this significant national event and embedding it in the collective memory of future generations.

The Stamp as an Artistic and Historical Document

Postage stamps are not merely postal tools; they carry artistic and historical value and serve as documents that convey Syria's memory to the world. They are a message that encapsulates the essence of history and embodies the will for life and progress despite challenges.

Launch of the Fair's Activities

The activities of the 62nd session of the Damascus International Fair will kick off tomorrow, with the participation of more than 800 local and international companies. The first day is dedicated to the official opening in the presence of diplomatic delegations and participants, with the fair opening to visitors starting from August 28th.
