Israeli Rabbi Threatens Macron with Death .. Paris Opens Investigation

The Paris public prosecutor's office has opened an official investigation after a video surfaced online showing a person believed to be a rabbi residing in Israel threatening French President Emmanuel Macron with death. 

This came after the video was reported by the French Interior Minister and the "Faros" platform, which monitors content that incites violence and hatred.

According to French newspapers, the 37-minute video was posted on the "YouTube" platform, where the individual expressed his anger over France's potential decision to recognize a Palestinian state next September.

In the video, the speaker makes a direct threat to the French president saying: "He should prepare for his farewell, and God will show him the meaning of insolence when he makes statements against God." He also described the decision as "anti-Semitic".

For his part, French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau described those statements as "completely unacceptable," and confirmed via the "X" platform that he had informed the judicial authorities to take the necessary legal actions against the person involved.

In a separate reaction, the Chief Rabbi of France condemned these threats, affirming that the person appearing in the video holds no official rabbinical position in France and has not received any recognized rabbinical training in the country.
