Israeli occupation forces set fire in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
Israeli occupation forces set fire today, Thursday, to the lands surrounding the western Red Hill in the town of Kodna in the southern countryside of Quneitra to prevent livestock owners from grazing their herds in the lands surrounding the hill.

According to "Al-Watan," sources from the residents of Kodna confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces burning the lands surrounding the hill led to the burning of fruit-bearing trees in the lands around the Red Hill.

The local sources pointed out the deployment of occupation soldiers, tanks, and vehicles at the site of the fire, preventing the locals from extinguishing it, expressing their fear of it spreading to the water wells located below the hill, which supply a large number of villages in the area. They also fear the burning of solar panels, generators, and other equipment and cables.

The residents of Kodna village called on the United Nations forces operating in the area to intervene quickly to help extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to fruit orchards, water wells, and power groups generating water in the vicinity of the western Red Hill.
