Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said today, Wednesday, that Israel is serious about reaching an agreement with the Islamic Resistance Movement in Palestine (Hamas) to end the war in Gaza and return the hostages held there to Israel.
He added: "We are serious in our desire to reach an agreement on the hostages and ceasefire. We responded positively to the proposals of the US Special Envoy, Steve Wicoff. There are some positive indicators. I don't want to say more than that now. But our goal is to start indirect talks as soon as possible".
