Israeli army forces raided the village of Al-Qahtaniyah in the countryside of Quneitra yesterday, Tuesday, April 22nd. They conducted sudden inspection operations in civilian homes and a school during official hours, causing panic among students and residents.
According to local sources, a military patrol consisting of seven vehicles entered the village. The soldiers raided several houses under the pretext of searching for weapons before heading to Al-Qahtaniyah School, conducting a search of the building and its premises in the presence of students, causing fear among them and their families.
Residents expressed anger at the repeated violations, confirming that Israeli forces continue to restrict the movement of farmers and shepherds, preventing them from accessing their lands and sources of livelihood.
The residents called for urgent action from local and international communities to stop these practices, as reported by "Free Horan Gathering" website.
This comes amid an escalation of Israeli military presence in the area in recent days. The villages of Al-Asbah and Al-Asha witnessed an incursion by occupation forces after midnight on Sunday, with residents being ordered through loudspeakers not to leave their homes before one house in Al-Asha village was searched.
Furthermore, a convoy of Israeli military vehicles was observed moving repeatedly that same night between Tel Ahmar Al-Gharbi and the occupied Golan Heights. Local activists speculated that the movement was related to logistical reinforcements for a military base recently established by the occupation in the area.
