Israeli Defense Minister: The Western Wall Returns to Us After Two Thousand Years of Temple Destruction

The minister added during his visit today, Sunday, to the Western Wall in Jerusalem: "I called for the return of the hostages, for the peace of communities, for the protection of Israeli army soldiers and security forces, and to defeat the murderers of Hamas".
Katz continued, saying: "Despite international positions and protests against Israel, we will continue to strengthen our sovereignty over Jerusalem, the Western Wall, and the Temple Mount forever," according to his statement.
Earlier on Sunday, the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem reported that "1251 settlers, led by Ben Gvir, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque".
The Waqf stated: "Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir led a provocative march for the settlers this morning, accompanied by Knesset member from the Israeli 'Likud' party Amit Halevi".
It pointed out that "the settlers performed Talmudic rituals, dances, and screams filled the mosque," noting that "the extremist Ben Gvir led a provocative march for the settlers in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, on the occasion of what is called the anniversary of the destruction of the Temple".
