Israeli Channel 12 reported today, Friday, that Netanyahu's government is pushing to advance the date for the operation to take control of the city of Gaza.

The former head of operations in the Israeli army stated that "occupying Gaza means a quagmire that will result in casualties among our soldiers and will determine the fate of the hostages".

Channel 12 added that Israel is preparing to send a delegation in the coming days to negotiate a prisoner exchange deal.
