In a dangerous escalation and disruption of efforts of negotiations and mediations aiming to stop the war on the Palestinian Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, issued strong military orders to the forces to "continue advancing in Gaza, emphasizing Tel Aviv's intention to use all means to eliminate Hamas."

The Israeli Defense Minister stated today, Sunday: "On the eve of the weeks, the Israeli army continues its operations in Gaza with great force, striking the enemy and paving the way for the advancing ground forces."

He added: "I instructed the Israeli army to continue advancing inside Gaza towards all objectives, without any connection to negotiations, and using all necessary means from air, land, and sea to protect Israeli soldiers, crush and kill Hamas, and eliminate them."

Katz further stated, "Whoever slaughters and fights us will pay the full price, as I said: either Hamas releases the prisoners, or it will be destroyed."

This escalation coincides with the announcement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, that the death toll in the sector has risen to 54,418, mostly children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023.
