The Israeli occupation aircraft launched a series of intense airstrikes yesterday morning, targeting multiple areas in the capital Damascus and its countryside, resulting in dozens of casualties, including martyrs and injured, as well as widespread destruction of public and private property.

The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health confirmed that the Israeli attacks resulted in the martyrdom of three individuals and the injury of 34 others with varying degrees of injuries. The injured were transported to hospitals for treatment, while medical teams and civil defense are working to rescue those trapped and remove the rubble in the targeted areas.

The airstrikes focused on the outskirts of the capital Damascus and extended to areas in its countryside, including the outskirts of the city of Qatana, where sounds of explosions were heard in several parts of the city, causing panic among the residents.

These attacks come within the framework of a systematic policy pursued by the Israeli occupation to destabilize the region, sabotage peace efforts, and create a state of chaos and tension within Syrian territories, according to official sources.

The attack was met with widespread condemnation from inside and outside Syria, with official authorities considering this heinous aggression a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and international laws, threatening to ignite a wider crisis in the region.

It is worth noting that these attacks are not the first of their kind, but they are the largest in terms of geographical scope and human and material losses, coming at a critical time when international efforts are escalating to restore security and stability to Syria.
