Israeli raid targets motorcycle in the town of Tyre, southern Lebanon

A Lebanese citizen was killed in an Israeli raid targeting a motorcycle in the vicinity of the town of Tyre, in the south of the country.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center announced that "the hostile operation that targeted a motorcycle in Tyre, Bint Jbeil district, resulted in a martyr's fall".
This development comes after the Lebanese army announced on Sunday that Israeli military vehicles crossed the technical fence in the vicinity of the town of Rmeish, in the south of the country.
The Lebanese army reported that the Israeli vehicles carried out excavation work inside Lebanese territory, in a "blatant violation" of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement, according to its statement.
The army stated that it reinforced its presence in the area, while a UNIFIL patrol arrived to document the breach, prompting Israeli forces to withdraw.
The ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel went into effect on November 27, 2024, after escalation that began in October 2023 and turned into open war in September 2024.
Despite the agreement, Israel committed thousands of violations, resulting in the deaths of dozens and the injury of hundreds more, according to official statistics.
