The Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, said yesterday Thursday that Israel will strike Iran again if faced with any threat from it.
A statement issued by Katz's office stated:
"Israel's long arm will reach you in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, and wherever you try to threaten or harm Israel. There is no place to hide. And if we have to return, we will return with greater force."
Israel launched a 12-day aerial war on Iran last June, escalating military tensions and raising concerns about the conflict spreading in the region.
A ceasefire was announced on June 23 through U.S. mediation, declared by U.S. President Donald Trump, after Israeli airstrikes targeted sensitive Iranian sites, including nuclear sites, due to Israel's concerns about Iran's proximity to developing nuclear weapons, a claim Tehran denies.
The United States also participated in the campaign by striking nuclear sites inside Iran.
Iran's President had previously warned that the response would be more decisive and painful if Israeli aggression were to be repeated.
In a new toll announced by Iran on Monday, it stated that the number of casualties from Israeli attacks has risen to 1,100 people, including 126 women and 41 children, as announced by Iran's Vice President and head of the Veterans Association, Saeed Ohadi.
Ohadi explained that the bodies of 1,060 victims were buried in official funeral ceremonies held in various parts of the country, noting that the number of injured reached about 5,600 people, including 160 still receiving treatment in hospitals.
