Israel Prepares for a New Phase of War in Gaza: Katz Discusses the Final Plan to Control the City

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz held a meeting with Chief of Staff Major General Eyal Zamir and senior military leaders to discuss the general principles of the plan to control the city of Gaza, in preparation for drafting the final plan and presenting it to the government next Sunday for approval.
Katz confirmed that Israel is determined to "defeat Hamas, free all hostages, and end the war," while Zamir emphasized that "victory depends not only on military strength but also on cohesion and cooperation between the political and military levels."
Military sources revealed that the plan may require the mobilization of 80,000 to 100,000 reserve soldiers within the eighth army, as part of a broad operation aimed at weakening the governmental and military capabilities of Hamas, amid preparations to deepen the attack and ensure Israel's long-term security.
