The Israeli army announced today, Friday, that it launched new strikes on Iran, targeting missile launch platforms in the southwest of the country.

The army said in a statement: "A short while ago, the Israeli army struck ground-to-air missile batteries in southwest Iran," noting that other attacks were carried out on Friday on the capital Tehran and Isfahan.

Iranian media reported an Israeli attack on the capital Tehran hours ago, which resulted in at least 5 injuries.

They added: "Hours ago, the Israeli regime targeted a 5-story building on Marzdaran Street in Tehran, hitting 3 floors."

They explained: "These floors included a luxury bakery, a women's hair salon, and a psychiatrist's clinic."

Earlier on Friday, Iran launched a number of missiles towards Israel. Israeli emergency services reported: "12 injured in Haifa, including 2 in critical condition."

Simultaneously with the strikes, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on his "K" platform account that Israel is "receiving its punishment now."
