"Israel is Concerned" .. Egypt and Turkey Sign Agreement for Local Production of the Drone "Turkha"

Egypt and Turkey have signed a new agreement for the local production of the drone "Turkha" (VTOL-UAV) in Egypt, in collaboration between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Turkish company Havelsan, in a move aimed at localizing drone technology and enhancing local defense industries.
The "Turkha" drone is an advanced system for reconnaissance and surveillance, featuring vertical takeoff and landing, and artificial intelligence systems for real-time data analysis, making it suitable for surveillance missions and intelligence gathering in complex environments.
Lieutenant General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, confirmed that the agreement represents an important step in transferring the latest defense technologies to meet local market needs and open export markets in Africa and the Arab region, as part of Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030.
For its part, the Turkish company Havelsan praised the capabilities of the Qader factory, expressing its desire to expand industrial and defense cooperation with Egypt, while the Turkish ambassador in Cairo described the agreement as a "blessing to enhance defense and industrial cooperation between the two countries".
This agreement comes in the context of the significant improvement in Egyptian-Turkish relations since 2023, after years of political tension, and is an extension of previous agreements for the production of unmanned ground vehicles, which increases Israeli concerns about the expansion of air defense and intelligence capabilities in the region.
