Israel announced on Sunday evening that it intercepted a drone launched from Yemen, which triggered alarm sirens in southern Israel.
The Israeli army stated in a statement published on the "X" platform that "the air force intercepted a drone launched from Yemen, following the alarm sirens that were activated in Netzarim."
Alarm sirens had sounded in the Netzarim settlement in the Ashkelon area of the Negev before the Israeli army announced the interception of the drone, according to the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth."
On Wednesday, the Yemeni Houthi group announced that it had carried out 3 military operations with 5 drones against Israeli targets in Tel Aviv (central) and Ashkelon and the Negev.
