Israel agrees to expand the attack in Gaza and enhance "voluntary migration" for the residents.

The Israeli government approved a plan today, Monday, May 5, to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip, including taking control of the lands and promoting the idea of "voluntary migration" for the population, according to media and political sources.
The "Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan Radio)" quoted informed sources that the Security Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, approved a gradual expansion of the attack on the "Hamas" movement.
An Israeli political official also reported that the mini-security cabinet approved a plan late at night that includes "occupying the Gaza Strip, taking control of the lands, and transferring Gaza residents to the south for their protection," as reported by the "Agence France-Presse."
The official confirmed that Netanyahu is "continuing to promote" President Donald Trump's plan regarding the "voluntary migration" of Gaza residents.
This decision came a day after the Chief of the Israeli Army Staff, Aviv Kochavi, announced the issuance of tens of thousands of reserve forces call-up orders to expand the military campaign. Kochavi stated in a message to the forces: "We increase the pressure with the aim of retrieving our personnel (hostages) and defeating Hamas."
In a related context, Netanyahu posted a video message on "X" platform yesterday, announcing a meeting of the Security Cabinet to discuss the "next stage" of the war, following the fall of a rocket launched by the Houthi group near Ben Gurion Airport.
It is worth noting that Israel resumed ground operations in Gaza in March after the collapse of a ceasefire agreement supported by the United States.
The Israeli news site "Walla News" reported that the Security Cabinet also approved a new plan for aid distribution, but did not specify a date for its entry into the sector, of which Israel already controls a third.
Israel faces increasing international pressure to resume aid entry, which has been banned since March, while defending the blockade by stating that "Hamas" seizes aid intended for civilians, allegations that the movement denies.
