Iranian Foreign Minister: Our Conditions for Negotiation Include Lifting Sanctions and Respecting Our Right to Peaceful Nuclear Energy

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, affirmed that his country's conditions for holding indirect negotiations with the United States primarily depend on lifting sanctions and respecting Iran's right to peaceful use of nuclear energy, before discussing the activation of the "Snapback" mechanism scheduled for October.

A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Yaqoub Reza Zadeh, quoted Araghchi as saying that negotiations with Russia on nuclear issues have been planned.
He also added that talks between Iran and the European Troika will be held next Friday in Istanbul, at the level of deputy foreign ministers, according to the Iranian IRNA agency.
Reza Zadeh mentioned that parliament members emphasized the importance of maintaining the country's strength, and the necessity for the diplomatic team in the ongoing talks to reflect Iran's defensive and deterrent capabilities.
This came during a meeting of the National Security Committee held today, Tuesday, which was attended by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, where they discussed the nuclear negotiations path and the role of Iran's missile power as a pressure card, in addition to emphasizing the importance of the country's defensive capabilities.
