Iraq: Government Proceeds with Weapon Monopoly in State Hands

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, affirmed today, Wednesday, that the government is proceeding with a plan to monopolize weapons in the hands of the state, emphasizing that respecting the law, combating corruption, and supporting state sovereignty are fundamental priorities in the government's program.
During a visit to Najaf province, he pointed out that the government is operating according to the highest references, confirming that the decision on peace, war, and foreign relations is exclusively within the state's authority, and that Iraq will not be a battleground for conflicts, despite the tensions in the region.
Al-Kadhimi concluded by emphasizing the government's commitment to a fair construction and development process that includes all Iraqis without discrimination.
