Iraq confirms: ISIS does not pose an internal threat and security forces continue their strikes

Al-Naaman told the Iraqi News Agency "INA" on Saturday that "the security forces carry out daily intelligence and field operations against the remnants of the organization, and deliver continuous strikes thanks to their vigilance and high capabilities," adding that "the borders are fully secured, and regional developments do not directly affect the internal security situation."
He explained that international concerns about ISIS are related to its spread in other countries, while in Iraq, the organization has become paralyzed and is receiving continuous strikes.
This statement from Al-Naaman came after a tweet from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad expressing Washington's concern over the expansion of ISIS and Al-Qaeda activities in the region, reaffirming its continued support for regional partners in combating terrorism.
