Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with the official television on Friday that "the negotiations are very complex to the extent that they cannot be completed in two or three meetings," describing the communication with Washington as "very professional." He continued by saying: "I can say it was one of the most professional negotiating rounds so far, and we once again expressed Iran's positions and principles regarding the negotiations." He added, "I believe there is now a better and clearer understanding of our positions by the American side." Regarding Oman's role, he pointed out that Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi "made efforts in this round to propose solutions to remove obstacles. To make progress, different ideas were discussed and some ideas were proposed, and it was agreed that both sides will conduct deeper technical studies on these ideas." He concluded by saying: "We are determined to study these solutions and new proposals that may be, most likely, beneficial, and it is expected that both parties will present their views on these proposals and solutions." Earlier, Oman's Foreign Minister announced the conclusion of the fifth round of negotiations on the nuclear program between the Iranian and American delegations, which took place in Rome on Friday. Badr Albusaidi stated via the X platform, "Today in Rome, the fifth round of talks between Iran and the United States ended with some progress made without being conclusive," expressing his hope that "the outstanding issues" will be clarified in the coming days.
