Jalal Musavi, deputy head of the Iranian Truck Drivers Association, revealed that some agents of the Israeli Mossad who were recently arrested in Iran had infiltrated among truck drivers over the past three years.
Musavi explained in statements to the Iranian Labour News Agency "ILNA" that some truck owners handed over their vehicles to these agents without their knowledge, but at the same time emphasized the need not to generalize these cases to all truck drivers.
In a related step, Iranian authorities announced the raid on a secret workshop consisting of three floors in Rey city near the capital Tehran, where a large number of small drones and explosive materials were found.
Tehran suspects that this workshop was used by Israeli agents to manufacture and assemble small drones and explosive weapons.
Security forces continue their efforts to search for similar workshops in different areas of Iran, while several people have been arrested in Tehran and other cities on charges of working for Israel.
These developments come in the context of escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, as Israel has launched airstrikes on nuclear facilities and missile bases in Iran since last Friday, as well as assassinated Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists.
Meanwhile, Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones towards Israeli territories, prompting Israel to take strict security measures in the face of ongoing escalation.
