Iran Removes IAEA Surveillance Cameras from Its Nuclear Facilities

International media reported today that Iran has removed surveillance cameras belonging to the International Atomic Energy Agency from its nuclear facilities.
Quoting a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian parliament, Ismaeil Kowsari, the media stated that "based on a parliamentary decision, surveillance cameras belonging to the International Atomic Energy Agency have been removed from the country's nuclear facilities," noting that "a large number of its inspectors have also left the country."
Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported last Friday that the International Atomic Energy Agency was withdrawing its inspectors from Iran for safety reasons.
According to the newspaper, the agency has withdrawn some of its inspectors from Iran for security reasons related to their personal safety."
The newspaper added that this decision comes amid escalating regional tensions and increasing threats that may affect the ability of the agency's inspection teams to carry out their tasks in a safe and transparent environment.
