Iran: Gas Pipe Explosion in Residential Building in Qom Leaves 7 Injured

A residential building on the outskirts of the city of Qom was hit by a gas pipe explosion on Monday, July 14, injuring 7 people, according to local sources.
The student news network quoted a local emergency services official as saying, "The explosion injured 7 people, and 5 ambulances were sent to the scene of the incident." The Qom Fire Department confirmed that the explosion was caused by a gas pipe rupture.
This incident comes just days after a gas explosion in the "Pamchal" tower in the "Jeytakar" area west of Tehran, which left 7 wounded and significant material damage.
Following the two incidents, civil defense teams cordoned off the sites, while Iranian authorities launched investigations to determine the causes of gas leaks and take preventive measures to avoid such incidents from reoccurring.
