Iran carried out the execution of a citizen named Badram Madani this Wednesday, May 28th, for spying for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and receiving money illegally, according to the Iranian judiciary. "ILNA" agency reported that Madani was arrested in Tehran in 2020 for collaborating with Mossad, recruiting agents, and gathering secret information about sensitive Iranian infrastructure sites. Documents revealed that Madani met an Israeli intelligence officer inside the Israeli embassy in Brussels and traveled to Israel during his cooperation. Electronic devices found messages containing instructions from Mossad on classifying information and transferring it to the agency's technical department. Authorities confirmed his activities were monitored, and his contact with Mossad was cut off before his arrest. He was convicted of "espionage" and "corruption on earth," and the death sentence was approved and later carried out. This execution comes about a month after a similar sentence was executed against Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, described by Iran as a "high-level spy" who worked with Mossad, as reported by "Mehr" agency. This development occurs amidst escalating security tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv, with the Iranian army commander recently stating Iran's readiness to launch a new attack on Israel if necessary.
