A delegation from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) conducted a field visit to the city of Souran in Hama on Tuesday to assess the general needs of the area, focusing on health, education, and social aspects. The visit included tours of vital facilities such as the health clinic, Beit Al-Mouna building, and Souran hospital. The delegation witnessed the extent of damage inflicted on the hospital due to the practices of the former regime, emphasizing the urgent need for its rehabilitation and reintegration into service as soon as possible. According to SANA, Souran district director Yunus Al-Fares highlighted the importance of the delegation's visit to Souran and the city council's readiness to provide necessary facilitation for organizations wishing to implement humanitarian and developmental programs targeting the area's residents. He noted that the region requires numerous service and humanitarian projects aimed at facilitating the return of displaced individuals from northern areas.
