In the eighteenth edition of the healthcare exhibition held at the Fairgrounds in Damascus, Syrian pharmaceutical companies shone by showcasing their latest medicinal products, aiming to enhance their presence in the local market and expand their reach to new customer segments.

Dr. Alaa Soufi, the scientific advisor at Rasha Pharmaceutical Industries, stated that the exhibition presents a golden opportunity to showcase products, especially hormonal and antibiotic varieties, particularly to participating foreign companies. It also provides a chance for direct communication with doctors, pharmacists, new graduates, and specialized clinics.
He added that the active participation of local companies reflects the strength of the Syrian pharmaceutical industry despite the current challenges.

On the other hand, pharmacist Tamam Mahmoud from Unifarma highlighted the importance of the exhibition as a platform to stay updated on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry and to learn about other companies' products.
He also mentioned that lifting sanctions could open the door to obtaining licenses from international pharmaceutical companies for varieties needed in the Syrian market, noting that his company held 50 licenses from international companies before the revolution.

Arab Medical Company Tamiko stands out as an example of trust and quality in the Syrian and Arab pharmaceutical market, working on developing innovative medical preparations such as Kazantozil for treating gout and high uric acid, Tamidium for diarrhea problems, in addition to other preparations like Tam Gezik muscle relaxant, Renacid anti-acid, Remo Code for treating phlegm, and Amyo Darun for anti-arrhythmic disorders.

As for Beta Pharma Company, according to Mahem Qarwani, the promotion supervisor, it is one of the leading companies specialized in producing high-quality pharmaceutical preparations, covering several pharmaceutical groups through investing national scientific energies.

It is worth mentioning that the International Medical Exhibition 'Medical Care Exhibition' kicked off on Wednesday, June 18, with the participation of 85 local companies specializing in medical equipment and pharmaceutical industries, alongside 51 companies representing 170 agencies from 29 Arab and foreign countries, reflecting the importance of this event in supporting the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in Syria and the region.
