The Internal Security leadership in Latakia province, in cooperation with the Anti-Terrorism Branch, today Saturday, arrested two individuals involved in war crimes during the rule of the ousted regime, they are Anwar Al-Rihan and his father Adel Ahmed Al-Rihan.

The Ministry of Interior stated through its Telegram channel that the criminals are known for their affiliation with sectarian militias and have a long record of violations, starting from suppressing peaceful protests in Jisr al-Shughour city, carrying out raids and executions against the rebels, committing numerous crimes in the coastal area, most notably their involvement in the Baida massacre in 2013, which claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians, and ending with their participation in supporting campaigns of the fallen regime in southern Idlib countryside.

The Ministry indicated that the criminals have been transferred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
