The head of the Internal Security in Homs, Brigadier Marhaf Al-Naasan, announced today, Sunday, the thwarting of an attempt to detonate an explosive motorcycle in the city as part of a comprehensive security plan to secure Eid al-Adha and enhance security and stability in the province.

The Syrian channel "Al-Ikhbariya" quoted Brigadier Al-Naasan as saying: "The motorcycle was dismantled and its threat removed without any damage, and investigations continue to pursue those involved in placing the explosive motorcycle."

Brigadier Al-Naasan added: "We assure our people in the province that their security and safety are our top priorities, and we will not allow troublemakers to threaten the city's stability."
