The Syrian channel "Al-Ikhbariya" quoted the commander of the internal security forces in Daraa province, Brigadier Shaher Jabr Imran, as saying today, Wednesday, that in light of the security developments on the administrative borders with Sweida province, the internal security forces in Daraa continue to implement a field plan to enhance stability through disciplined deployment in vital points and monitoring of unofficial crossings in anticipation of any tension.
Brigadier Imran emphasized that internal disturbances in some areas of Sweida require a high degree of vigilance and enhancing coordination among various concerned parties to prevent the effects of these tensions from spreading to our areas and to maintain civil security in the eastern countryside of Daraa specifically.
He added: "The internal security forces, in full cooperation and coordination with the army units, carry out their tasks with high flexibility, focusing on controlling suspicious movements and preventing the infiltration of any elements outside the law seeking to exploit the current situation to disturb stability or spread chaos".
Imran said: "We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to the law and our keenness to protect the lives and properties of citizens, emphasizing the importance of community efforts and standing united against rumors or agendas that try to exploit any security vacuum".
He also called on everyone to demonstrate awareness and full cooperation with the deployed security forces and report any suspicious movements, as well as "appreciate the positive role played by tribal leaders and civil entities in promoting concepts of calm and coexistence".
