In a night filled with tension, the city of Jaramana in the countryside of Damascus was shaken by intense armed clashes near its entrances, with the sound of heavy gunfire concentrated around the Al-Naseem neighborhood, causing widespread panic among residents who were surprised by the escalating events amidst the darkness of the night. Witnesses reported that the clashes erupted between armed groups and city protection elements, resulting in casualties and injuries, with no official toll announced yet. The roads leading to the city were blocked, and the scene appeared to resemble an undeclared state of emergency. After about an hour of escalating tension, units of the public security intervened, deployed in the vicinity of Jaramana, managed to contain the clashes and restore calm cautiously. This incident comes amid repeated similar security tensions in the region, raising concerns among residents and questioning the ability of security forces to maintain stability in this densely populated area of the capital's countryside.
