India threatens with "BrahMos" cruise missiles if Pakistan carries out any attack against it

In a scene reflecting the deterioration of relations between India and Pakistan following the attack carried out by militants of the "Lashkar-e-Taiba" group last April in the Indian region of Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the death of 26 people, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi threatened that any new terrorist attack on India from Pakistan would be met firmly, with "BrahMos" cruise missiles produced in a joint Russian-Indian project.
He confirmed: "In Pakistan, just mentioning the name 'BrahMos' keeps them awake at night. BrahMos missiles from Uttar Pradesh will strike the terrorists in the event of any new attack."
The Prime Minister also pointed out that the global community has already seen the effectiveness of Indian defense systems during the "Sindhur" operation, particularly emphasizing air defense systems, missiles, and drones as evidence of India's strength towards self-sufficiency.
