Increase in high-speed internet users.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced today, Tuesday, an increase in the number of high-speed mobile internet subscribers during the year 2024 by 10.45%.


The agency also confirmed in a statement on the occasion of World Internet Day, celebrated globally on this day for a safer internet in February of each year, that the number of high-speed internet subscribers reached 87.42 million subscribers by December 2024 compared to 79.15 million subscribers in December 2023, achieving an increase of 10.45%.

It was also noted that this increase is a result of the world's access to mobile phone services, where the total number of active subscribers in high-speed internet service reached 11.63 million subscribers by December 2024 compared to 10.88 million subscribers in December 2023, achieving an increase of 6.89%. It was further clarified that this increase is due to the reliance on high-speed internet service in educational services.
